Vegan Burger Patty Recipe (GF)

No fun backstory here, just a recipe, you know the thing you came for!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 can of garbanzo bean (drain water into a glass jar and save)
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 medium potato
  • 3 tbs aquafaba (water from the can of garbanzo beans)
  • 3 tbs nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 3 tbs gluten-free panko flakes
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tbs pepper
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp paprika

TOPPINGS (optional)

  • Vegan mayo
  • Ketchup
  • Daiya cheese (or your vegan cheese of choice)
  • Tomato
  • Cucumber
  • Pickles
  • Cabbage
  • Bread/Bun of choice

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and pulsate until slightly chopped (not pureed).
  2. Transfer to a bowl and mix with your hands to combine well. Add more seasoning if you choose.
  3. Using a 1/4 measuring scoop, scoop out enough to form patties with your hand and place on a cookie tray lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake patties at 450 for 15 minutes on each side or until browned.
  5. Add your favorite vegan cheese and bake an additional 5 mins.
  6. Lastly, assemble your sandwich on your favorite bread or bun with toppings of choice.
  7. Makes about 6-8 patties depending on how big you make them.
